Resumen
Newspapers, magazines, internet, television programs, among other media, show issues on the life expectancy of Brazilians, ie, people are living longer, and thus the number of elderly increases progressively, with a projection for in 2060 from 58.4 million seniors in the country. To reach that age with health and quality of independent living, just go to the doctor is not enough. In general, people seek to improve their quality of life, but this demand in the elderly has different aspects, because they need to associate other types of activities in their day-to-day, that will be essential to stay healthy during the aging process. Thus, the objective of this research was to analyze the influence of Active Maturity Program on the lifestyle of the elderly, featuring a qualitative case study. Eight participants of the program were selected for interview, they have different times of participation in the program. The interview was based on two guides, which aimed to identify the lifestyle profile of the elderly, as they realize growing older, leisure and quality of life, and also questions about the maturity active program. From the answers obtained was identified in relation to lifestyle, no one is like the other person, each have their lifestyle, their way of living, thinking, acting, among many other factors. It must work and daily review the habitual actions, to reflect then a good quality of life, a light, healthy and active for the elderly. In turn, so does the relationship between the lifestyle profile of the elderly and the active mature program, where the five aspects of the welfare of the Pentagram are worked in the activities of the WFP, often without that older people realize. The benefits are in many ways, as self-knowledge and relate to the day-to-day, with people, with different situations, turns out to be very important. Thus, as a suggestion to improve the program, a multidisciplinary work could be done. For example, work together with a psychologist and a nutritionist, would only increase the benefits of habitual actions of the pentacle of well-being; the psychological may also help so there is no further discussion, and socializing the group would be better enabling an increased number of participants in the program.
