Resumen
The purpose of this work was to verify the potential of photovoltaic energy generation in the Jardim Araucária neighborhood, located in the municipality of Campo Mourão-PR. To make this estimate, a remotely piloted aircraft - RPA was used to obtain aerial images of the neighborhood, as well as the digital elevation model, where it was necessary to divide the neighborhood into seven parts to adapt to the flight time available with four batteries, in addition to conducting field survey with GPS-RTK, acquiring thirty control points, to obtain a good accuracy in georeferencing and obtain good quality image. With the orthomosaic it was possible to precisely demarcate the perimeter of the roofs, manually, of the entire area, and thus determine the useful area for implementation of the photovoltaic modules, and with the altitude, result of the digital elevation model, using the tools available in geoprocessing software, it was possible to identify the inclination and orientation of all the roofs, to define the radiation reduction variables already established in other works and determine the solar irradiation on site. With all these acquired factors, area, irradiation and using the conversion efficiency of the Canadian brand photovoltaic module, it was possible to determine the energy generation available in the neighborhood through the mathematical equation already proposed, verifying in which orientation there was more energy production and if this generation will supply the energy demand in the neighborhood.
