Resumen
In this work, the photocatalytic process was used to treat the water from the biodiesel washing process generated from different raw materials, using the immobilized and suspended catalyst. The experimental parameters of pH and amount of catalyst were analyzed to determine the efficiency and viability of the process. The results were monitored by means of COD reduction tests, obtained by colorimetric analysis using a spectrophotometer. It was concluded that the parameters tested influenced the treatment of the matrices used, presenting a 13% reduction in the degradation of the compounds in the catalyst concentration of 1 g.L-1, 65,5% degradation for pH 3 and 77% in matrix produced in the laboratory. Some assays had a COD variation as a function of time, possibly by formation of intermediate compounds throughout the treatment.
