Resumen
There are several ways to work in the educational scope and among them, Science, Technology and Society (STS), which enables the approach of different contents promoting interdisciplinary, discussion and relationship between science and the social environment, aiming at the formation of the participative student in society. Thus, work highlight the need for STS content on teacher training. The present work aims to analyze if STS content has been address in the courses outlines of courses of Chemistry Degree, through the analysis the course outlines of the subjects that compose the curriculum. The methodology used follow the Bardin principles and for the composition of this methodology, was inspired in Aikenhead categories, which were reduced to four categories and modified in a manner that best suit for the use in this work. The categorization was define by guiding words, which established different forms of presentation of STS content, starting from a motivational classification of content during the course until a completely focused on teaching STS. In the analysis, obtain sixteen subjects that fit to some of the proposed categories, among them, only three had as objective the study exclusively of STS. It can be observe in this work that the STS content has a little space in the courses of Chemistry Degree, even with the government documents promoting new ways of teaching aimed at advance the formation of a critical and participatory citizen, even with these guidelines, the courses are unable to include the teaching of STS in their curriculum.
