Resumen
Soil management directly influences the productive potential of crops, providing favorable conditions for the root development of plants is the main objective of cultivating winter crops as soil conservation management, observing the action of roots in improving the physical environment for successor crops. In this context, the objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different cover crops on the physical properties of a dystrophic Red Oxisol with high levels of compaction. The physical attributes evaluated were: Density of the soil; Total porosity; Macropores and Micropores, as well as the production of dry biomass and grain yield of the subsequent crop. The experimental design was completely randomized, the treatments used were: Wheat (Triticum spp.) Black oats (Avena strigosa) Turnip (Raphanus sativus L.) Ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) Mix A (white oats – Avena sativa L .; black oats; rye - Secale cereale; and turnip var. duckfoot) and Mix B (rye; fodder pea - Pisum sativum L. subspecies arable; turnip; and turnip var. duck foot). 05 points were sampled in each treatment, with two depths. The results corroborate with Pessoto et al. (2016), where, the use of single cover plants, in a short time, causes little improvement in the physical attributes of the soil, however, the intercropping of different root systems, brought significant improvements in unpacking, not benefiting the yield of soybean culture.
