The use of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a probiotic yeast in beef cattle is due to an improvement in the ruminal and intestinal environment, thus leading to greater fiber degradation and nutrient absorption, thereby obtaining a better feed economy, enhancing or gaining weight consequently optimizing production. Objective-To evaluate the probiotic effect of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast on the weight gain of beef heifers in the recovery phase. The work was carried out in the city of Laranjeiras do Sul PR. Forty heifers divided equally into two lots were used, and the batch treatment animals (T) received 100 grams of commercial mineral salt and 1 gram of yeast per day, the control animals (C) only 100 grams. grams of daily commercial mineral salt. Throughout its development there were monthly messages, totaling 4 messages over a period of 90 days. Bromatological pasture analyzes were performed, all analyzes were performed in the laboratory of the Federal Technological University of Paraná Campus de Dois Vizinhos. CP (%), NDF (%), ADF (%), OM (%) and MM (%) values were recorded, and finally an economic viability analysis of the use of the product was performed. There was a difference between one treatment and another, animals that received a fee in addition to gaining weight at the beginning, maintaining weight in Nstressful situations.
