Abstract

In this course concluding paper we will study a sugarcane wagon. This equipment is used in the sugar cane crop to transport the harvested cane by the cane harvester to get in the border of another wagon pulled by a truck. The focus of study will be the Tower of the equipment, which concentrate the forces on the most critical moment, the lifting load of 10.5 tons to the edge of the truck and the load tipping for filling the same, addressing the types of failures likely to occur in the structure after the study of failures a structural optimization of the most requested components is done if necessary, aiming at a reduction of material and reduction of failures, seeking a reduction of final cost and reduction of raw material use, At the end we reach a satisfactory coefficient of security.
