Abstract

Generally accidents with machinery and equipment are associated with human error, often due to lack of training and qualification of workers, as well as due to the failure to use personal protective equipment, but mainly by the lack of protections collective whether fixed, mobile or electro-electronic. To try to control this senary at the end of 2010 the NR-12 - Safety at Work in Machinery and Equipment, was reworked, added to technical aspects consistent, so that, with the assistance of inspectors of the Ministry of Labour and Employment , were employed by companies, the necessary measures to prevent the risk of accidents. This monograph aims to verify the safety conditions of a mechanical press eccentric brand Schuler, 1980 Weingarten model used by the company XYZ for forming and stamping automotive parts tracking. But it was verified that the machine meets study only 20% of main items proposed by the new wording of the NR 12, even after several improvements made to the machine by company XYZ.
