From Dc to Talk: uma análise semiótica da banda Dc Talk

Abstract

This present work seeks to semiotics of the cover of a CD of the band Dc Talk, North American looking for complementary, with the semiotics of analysis a book cover of their literary Band, understanding and interpretation of signs present in the contents of the cd and the book. In the development of this work, snapped from the definition of the gospel genre, its roots and current behavior, location in time and space of the band Dc Talk, in this genre, through Visual and literary narratives, as elements for semiotic analysis. Through a survey-collected information on the cd and book, images are understood and interpreted by checking the communication and understanding of the symbols as part of semiotic analysis. The work seeks to validate through the individual analysis of the signs and of the poll if the interpretation of the symbols approaches the representation of the object. This is the chance to be verified in this paper. Finally, this work seeks to emphasize the importance of the band Dc Talk in the gospel market via the poetic content of the lyrics and music of the Christian content in your books.
