Resumen
Júlia da Costa was a paranaense author who produced her only book of poems Flores Dispersas in 1867. Having lived between the 19th and 20th centuries, and married by family imposition, she spent most of her life unhappy, being criticized for taking decisions that, according to the society of the time, compromised the figure of the woman in the space that was. This research aims to rescue the poet Júlia da Costa, who was marginalized by the history of Brazilian literature, but contributes a lot to literature written by women. Muzart (2001), Pereira (1982) sought to make a rescue of the author, highlighting their importance in the literary world and to analyze some of her poems by relating them to her social and sentimental life. From this research, it was found that Júlia da Costa was in fact a woman considered ahead of her time to make her own decisions, unacceptable for the time. Therefore, it became an example for great female figures later.
