Resumen
This work had as its theme the importance of Affectivity in the process and teaching learning of children from the first months to 5 years of age. The same is inserted in the field of Education, specifically in the Psychology of Education and Early Childhood Education and seeks to understand affectivity in the perspective of Henri Wallon (1879-1962). The objective of this study is to address the importance of affection in the cognitive development of children in early childhood education. It is a research of a qualitative nature and based on Historical Cultural theory and on authors who research on the subject, such as: Galvão (2013), Arantes (2011), Leite (2012), Wallon (2010) among others. The research carried out indicates that the teacher-student relationship based on the affective bond helps in the development and learning of the students. According to the dictionary Aurelio (1994), the affectivity entry is accentuated as follows: “Psicol. Set of psychic phenomena that appear under the figure of emotions; feelings and passions, followed always gives an impression of pain or pleasure, of satisfaction or dissatisfaction, of pleasure or displeasure, of joy or sadness. “ Thus, affectivity plays a major role in basic psychosomatic connections, in addition to enthusiastically categorizing perception, memory, thought, will and actions, and thus being an essential element of the harmony and balance of the human personality. It understands that affection is one of the bonds that connect teacher and student, being a set where they are related several factors like the selfesteem, love, feelings and values. These ties of affection between educator and educator is what makes learning enjoyable and healthy. Affectivity is the combination of the whole, of all these emotions, which teaches learning and caring.
