Comparação entre métofos de cálculo de vazão de cheia para bacias urbanizadas

Abstract

Flood is a natural phenomenon that can cause the occupation of river beds and cause serious economic and social problems. Estimates of maximum flow are essential for planning and adopting measures to minimize impacts arising from the occurrence of floods. There are several methods available to obtain estimated values for maximum design flows. The objective of this work is to analyze different methods for defining maximum flows in an urban watershed in the city of Londrina-PR. To estimate flood flows, the following methods were considered: Rational Method, I-PAI-WU Method, Ven Te Chow Method and SCS Method. The flows were estimated for the return periods of 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 years. The Rational and I-PAI-WU methods initially presented overestimated values in relation to the Ven Te Chow and SCS methods, which proved to be more coherent.
