Literatura e psicanálise: um estudo freudiano sobre o personagem Pedro Missioneiro, de Érico Veríssimo

Abstract

The present work proposes the analysis of two episodes from O tempo e o Vento, written by Érico Veríssimo: “A fonte” and “Ana Terra”. The study will be developed under a psychoanalytic perspective based on Sigmund Freud‟s theories. The main goal is to analyze the character Pedro Missioneiro, in a psychological field and to understand his relashionship with the other characters close to him. For that, the main theories to be developed will be emotional ambivalence, the Oedipus‟ Complex, secession between love and hate, repression and transference.
