Resumen
Electrical grounding systems have the function of protecting electrical installations and equipments, as well as the person's life who may be in contact with it. Reducing ground resistance is one of the principal factors in improving the quality and safety of installations. This project is based on experimentation with two vertically grounded zinc-plated steel rods, one in conventional way and the other with liquid-absorbent gel crystals in the latter, reduction in ground resistance was verified at the ground. A comparative study was made from the two forms of grounds tested, using daily measurements os electrical resistance with the terrometer, soil type analysis and possible climatic factors influencing the resistivity curves obtained by the resistances of each rod.
