Resumen
In the search for greater competitiveness and greater dedication to the customer, agile methodologies for project management emerged in the 90's. These methodologies are widely used for innovative projects with a high degree of uncertainty, since they require constant changes in their scope during development. UTForce e-Racing is an extension project developed by electronics engineering students, of UTFPR Ponta Grossa, aiming to build a SAE electric formula car for the annual category competition. However, due to the diverse team, students of various engineering and technology courses, and due to the innovations involved, the project encounters difficulties, mainly in the sharing information and compliance with deadlines and costs. Due to the need to improve the project management of the team, the objective of this research is to identify improvement opportunities in UTForce e-Racing, mainly addressing agile project management. To this end, project management approaches and agile project management were reviewed and interviews were conducted with the captain and project directors. As a result, opportunities for improvement have been proposed for all staff, with opportunities in project management, in the areas of time management, cost, scope, communication and monitoring within the team, using agile and some traditional management tools, integrating better the staff. Finally, it is possible to conclude that the project has several difficulties in relation to the most impacting areas, such as people, monitoring, time and cost, so it is necessary to use tools to assist the work of the team, providing motivation, integration and optimization of whole work.
