Resumen
The present article describes some of Interior Architecture and Scenography precepts which guide a flagship store project execution, while highlights the importance of integration between both techniques for stablishing a convenient target customer service and, as a consequence, improving store’s retail visibility. To fulfill this intention, a case study was carried out on Flagship Store Barneys in New York that receives Gaga´s Workshop to 2011´s Christmas period. By means of a questionnaire and based on theoretical reference, several relationship aspects can be taken into account, such as space being considered in customer´s or spectator´s favor or awareness about the difference between an ordinary store and a flagship store. In a flagship store, the several teachings from both areas are applied in such a way that space organization goes beyond ornamentation notions and mere decoration: it becomes an extent where historicity and deeper meanings are imposed.
