As águas do rio Palmitos: percepção de moradores em relação á questão ambiental

Abstract

This work had as its theme the waters of the River Palmetto, being the result of particular interest for research. The survey covered what the current data and the concrete reality of Rio Palmetto the perception of some residents, especially in the path that cuts through the center of the City of Palmetto. To meet the objectives, we carried out a field study with 10 residents near Palmetto river, randomly chosen, to which a questionnaire was applied. The analysis of the collected qualitative and quantitative data was the result of field research showed that in the vicinity of Rio Palmetto is without due environmental care. It was noticed that the city grew without proper guidance in relation to water and care for the environment. Today there is already a concern among residents regarding environmental protection, including water from the River Palmetto, but it is necessary to develop projects to revitalize the Palmito river and its surroundings. In view of the law of environmental sustainability is the suggestion curb new developments in the area of permanent preservation of Rio Palmetto and seek gradually withdraw and / or improve the structure of existing developments.
