Identificação dos riscos de obras de edificações residenciais na realização de trabalho em altura

Abstract

The lack of training and inadequate use of collective and individual protection equipment are the main causes of accidents in construction sites. This study had the purpose to present the available measures, like preventions and improvements in the construction field, in order to reduce and even extinguish workplace accidents, which are eventualities that can be prevented through environment control and working conditions. Thus, this research aimed to identify and analyse the risks of working at height of two residential buildings. In order to do that, were took photographic records of various activities in these buildings that were carried out during different stages of the construction. The risk analysis showed that the construction sites need some changes in order to decrease the number accidents during the work. To conclude, the high majority of the accidents can be avoided with simple and economic measures, which enforces that the prevention is the most viable and correct solution to be adopted.
