Análise de desempenho de um radar meteorológico com antenas fixas

Abstract

Recently, it was proposed and analyzed in the literature an innovative configuration of a weather radar system, based on two fixed antennas wide beam. In this system it is contained in a detector which operates under the criterion of likelihood ratio (MIRANDA, 2013), which is characterized by maximizing a probability of detection for a given probability of false alarm. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the project development of this detector and perform the same performance analysis. In the work is analyzed the mathematical development to obtain analytical expressions in the closed form of the probabilities of detection and false alarm, in addition to the keywords of the number of samples necessary to ensure a certain probability of detection, and the variable and function decision rule a series of received samples. Finally it is shown an analysis of detector performance using different values of the correlation coefficient, and detection threshold values for different values of probability of detection and false alarm.
