Resumen
Purchasing management is an activity that becomes increasingly important for companies and has a strategic role in several market segments. Thus, companies that direct their efforts to search for alternatives that may result in gains are increasingly seeking strategies of competitiveness, thus enhancing their purchasing function, having the need to be more efficient, reduce The costs and meet their deadlines. Considering this context, the objective of this work was to analyze the benefits of adopting a quality management system in the purchasing sector of a construction company located in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, identifying, through analysis and studies, possible Existing in the company sector. Regarding the research methodology the work is considered to be a descriptive research and is classified as a field research carried out through the case study mechanism of a construction company. During the field research, the brainstor was chosen, where a debate and exchange of ideas was carried out among the employees of the sector, arriving at the definition of the process of purchase of the company. It was noted that in the company there was a great deficiency in the methods adopted to qualify the suppliers, where, after this study, alternatives such as the creation of criteria for qualification, previous selection of suppliers and mechanisms or channels of interaction with suppliers will be implemented. A positive result for the company in the near future, making it more competitive with less price, greater quality and efficiency in punctuality.
