Resumen
One of the main reasons that cause problems in chemistry teaching today it is the lack of connection between the student's everyday life and chemical knowledge. The student has difficulty in relating it to school studies and what occurs in their food, clothing, health, housing, transportation, and finally, in your life. Chemistry is an experimental science, but the methodology used by many teachers hinders learning since many of them still work in the traditional way, through lectures, without increasing the study of experimental classes, teaching resources and other alternatives to improve learning or stimulate the interest on chemistry classes. In this context, this project focused to carry out a survey of some possible reasons that hinder the learning of the discipline of chemistry in high school through questionnaires for the students. The survey was conducted in the first half of 2012 in 12 state schools in the municipality. The results showed that most respondents considered important to perform experimental activities in the teaching of chemistry and a better training of the teachers discipline.
