Princípios da construção enxuta em obras de habitação de interesse social: estudo de caso em Curitiba-PR

Abstract

This paper presents a case study of the application of the lean construction principles in social interest housing works, through field research and use of a checklist at construction works of a 54 houses housing estate built by Cohab at Curitiba-PR. Brings up the topic of lean construction, technique derived from lean thinking, philosophy enshrined in the manufacturing supply chain, which applied to the construction industry and covering different areas, not only production, but also product development, supplier relationships, strategy management and people management, is used to meet a new customer profile, which increasingly demands products with quality, better performance and lower cost. The application of the method showed a significant level of involvement by the company with the lean philosophy, representing an important step towards improving the management, search for better results, quality assurance processes, reducing losses and therefore higher productivity.
