Resumen
The finite state machine (FEM) is an important concept within digital electronics as it allows the modeling of simple and complex systems. This work presents a didactic module developed for the MEF project, seeking a responsive and agile methodology that contributes to the learning process of students who use the tool. The system relies on software and hardware. The software is the expansion of a previously developed didactic program, adding the functionality of next state table, for the design of the MEFs. The reprogrammable hardware is based on the working principle of a PLD (Programmable Logic Device) and was divided into three modules: inputs, PLD and outputs. The PLD is the main module and is subdivided into input lines, fixed AND matrix, programmable OR matrix and output sums of product. A demonstration of the use of the system was carried out, from which it was observed that the desired characteristics of responsiveness, adaptability and agility desired in the premise of the work were achieved.
