Abstract
Current sources provide the value of current regardless of the load of their connected charge. It has utmost importance for every electrical engineer student, since it is referring to a major subject of graduation. The present study is a characterized as a theoretical complementation of a current source with a buck converter that aims to lower the voltage of the electric circuit. The main goal of the study is to create a source’s prototype for using in lessons at University, in order to develop a microcontrolled current source with a buck converter for didactic purposes. The topology in this study aims to supply a load of 100 Ω, with a current source between 5mA a 1A. The approval of the controlled current source will be performed by software, as Matlab/Simulink.
