Resumen
The following paperwork presents a comparison analysis between bolted connections and joint welds. It is pretty much an investigation putting together a lot of information about the bonds, active forces, most previously used resistance calculation methods and the most used nowadays. Described in the literature review. The experimental stage aims to analyze the simple bounding performance of a SAE 1045 high resistance bolt with a hexagon head in comparison with a similar welded attachment, both suffering from a shear stress. The fixed structure in the steel plates is evaluated in parallel and perpendicular directions related to the clamping axis. This study raised an important base for future studies with standards for a better structure choice between the bolted and the welded. Regarding the lack of standards and norm definitions intended to metal structures. After verifications of the resulting data is possible to assert that more shear resistance is shown in bolted bonds than welds bonds.
