Resumen
The economic performance of a railroad is a reflection of the quality of the railway track and the frequency of maintenance required. Maintenance of the permanent road has a significant cost, especially when rail replacement is required. In addition, a banned rail line directly impacts a company's safety conditions and operating costs. Achieving a satisfactory permanent route is one of the most complex issues discussed in the railway literature. This work analyzes the faults in the ArcelorMittal Tubarão rail network that occurred on the internal lines. Anomalies occurred in the Converters areas in 2018 were used for this study. For this study we used the MCC methodology, Block Diagram, FMEA, assessment and response of occurrences, and application of the LDA reliability tool for analysis of the sleepers' life. As the main form of interconnection between the sectors in the steel production process, the rail network becomes a key element for meeting the daily production plan, having high criticality and requiring special care in the execution of inspection plans sensitive and predictive. By having some critical sections and high deformation potential, ArcelorMittal shark mesh has some elements to ensure the availability of lines in perfect operation. In the lines under the converters, in Steelmaking are used placons to ensure greater resistance in fixing the rails avoiding deformation of the lines. Another device for gaining availability is the use of a special sleeper model with longitudinal, transverse reinforcement and curvature at the ends. In this way the sleeper has a longer service life avoiding warping and breaking. The use of aluminothermic welding to permanently mend two rails without the need for splice joints, allowing for greater reliability and strength of the spliced parts.
