Resumen
The generation of municipal solid increase every year, and that is the reason for many studies due to its expressive and worrying numbers. In 2016, Brazil generated about 73.3 million tons, with a per capita generation of approximately 214,405 tons / day. The southeastern region is the region that most generates waste, followed by the northeast, south, center-west and north. In this sense, the National Solid Waste
Policy, enacted in 2010, now requires the management of municipal solid waste, including recycling cooperatives as an environmentally correct way to dispose of recyclable waste, where many of them take these materials from their source of income. The activity carried out by these scavengers, in addition to being susceptible to many diseases arising from work, both because of the insalubrity (chemical, physical and biological risks), because they work almost solely on their feet, and because of the prejudice of society, this profession demand attention. In addition, it is usually performed by people who used to live in informality, possibly without knowledge about the use of Individual and Collective Protection Equipment and the importance of ergonomics. Thus, the objective of this work was to analyze ergonomically a job of a cooperative of recyclable materials collectors in Londrina-PR and to evaluate, through a Nordic Questionnaire and a TEA, the possible pains related to the work suffered by the cooperative, with the proposition of solutions for improve the quality of life of workers in their work environment.
