Resumen
This work had as thematic the strategic planning in micro and small companies in the southwestern region of Paraná, with the objective of analyzing information by company’s perspective regarding to the organizational strategic planning, from qualitative data obtained through survey research, applied by an electronic form answered by company managers. In Brazil, micro and small companies represent more than 99% of the total of establishments and often have problems to grow and go bankrupt even before completing 2 years of existence, having as one of the causes the lack of administrative skills without application of technical concepts. Even so, micro and small companies can facilitate the implementation of improvements and strategies by reducing bureaucracy and increasing the flow of information between customers, suppliers and employees. In view of the importance of strategic planning to the development of an organization, this work involves assessing whether micro and small companies in the southwest of Paraná consider strategic planning tools for the development and growth of the company.
