Resumen
Brazil has the largest commercial cattle herd in the world, but remain low reproductive rates, these rates are usually due to failures in management, especially nutritional and reproductive. This study aimed to evaluate the reproductive management of Bos indicus cows cutting through studies on the effects of the use of vitamins A, D and E on conception rates, in order to seek improvements that can increase fertility. It was also analyzed the prevalence of genital catarrh (CG) in the herd , the correlation of these with weight of calf , body condition and weight of the cow , and also the efficiency of treatment with antibiotics. This study was conducted at Fazenda São Marcos, located in the municipality of Dois Vizinhos-PR, 84 zebu cows , which underwent a gynecological examination 60 days before the breeding season 90 days. The cows that had genital colds were treated with 2 doses of Oxytetracycline. 20 mg / kg body weight, 4/4 days intramuscularly, the rest was divided into two groups: one control group and a treatment that had to apply a dose of 5 ml intramuscular vitamin ADE . After collecting all the data, we performed an analysis of data through X ² in SAS (2004 ) program. There was no correlation between weight, body condition score of the cow and calf weight with incidence of genital catarrh, in the same way that treatment with vitamins ADE not produce any result. The rates of pregnancy rates in the group of animals treated with antibiotics were similar to the group of healthy animals, demonstrating the effectiveness of using provided gynecological examination and also treatment of animals.
