Resumen
Paint is defined as a liquid, pasty or powder product, which undergoing a curing process forms a film on the applied substrate, being used to protect, illuminate, signal and beautify objects or surfaces. The basic raw materials of this product are: resins, pigments, fillers, solvents and additives. Considering that Brazil is one of the largest producers and consumers of paints, denoting an active and growing market, this work aims to develop the project of the industrial plant Iris, a company that contemplates the production and sale of water-based paints. The study followed important steps as justification, market study, locational decision, target audience, production process, material and energetic balances, industrial design, sizing and equipment determination, layout, economic balance and process flow diagram. The company will be of medium size, with a production capacity of 792 thousand liters of paint per month. The factory will be located in the city of São João da Boa Vista (SP), due to the proximity of raw materials, tax incentives and market demand. The development of the paint begins with the receipt and decision of the raw material, followed by weighing, premixing and dispersion, filling, quality control, filtration, packaging and effluent treatment. The company aims to be a reference in the production and supply of paints, with quality products, seeking to develop having commitment to a more sustainable future and will have initial investment of approximately 9 million with a forecast of return in 4,7 years.
