Abstract

This monograph presents a research on the issue of the design value in web interaction systems with the company’s internal users, more precisely, on intranets, focusing on usability. It also researches how intranets are built and how the design concepts are applied in systems, making a comparison related to different types of media evaluating their peculiarities about the design, presenting their advantages and disadvantages. It reports a study case of intranet projects awards, exploring its strengths and weaknesses, as in researched theories. Complemented by the creation of a high-fidelity prototype, the study demonstrates the application of design and usability recommendations when creating systems.
