Resumen
From the perspective of postmodernity and Interarts studies, this monograph aims at studying two works: the screenplay titled Donnie Darko (1997) written by Richard Kelly, and the cinematographic work by the same name, also directed by Kelly (2001). With a view to analyzing the way in which the script was transposed to the film work, as well as how the intertexts and other resources, both literary and cinematographic, help in the interpretation of the work. The methodology used was of a comparative nature, based on critical theoretical sources, based on theories of adaptation, postmodernism and elements of the narrative. Thus, by following this perspective, the analysis of this work presents the importance of studies between literature and cinema, as well as the way that the poetics of postmodernism influences the construction of texts. The results obtained were satisfactory, since relevant intertexts were identified, as well as postmodern characteristics in the two works.
