dc.description.abstractThe Itaipu power plant has 20 generating units in total, of which only two are digitized and have been in operation for ten years. The maintenance in digital systems is little approached in academic studies and the imminence of the technological update of the Itaipu power plant, where all the generating units will be modernized and consequently digitized made it necessary to map the characteristics of the maintenance in the digital systems of supervision and control of the SDSC of the generating units 9A and 18A, quantifying the requests for maintenance services, man x hours used in the solutions as well as the quantity of spare materials consumed in the ten years of operation. This data will be extracted from the maintenance management system and the inventory management system in order to bring a greater knowledge of the characteristics and behaviors of the electronic equipment used in the digital supervision and control systems currently in operation, subsidizing information that can be used in the strategic decisions aimed at the new equipment that will be installed during the technological update of the Itaipu power plant,in addition, we will note the large number of rework with improvements interventions, due to the lack of a standardization in the parameters and descriptive of the points registered in the databases of the installed digital systems, this standardization must be defined before the technological update aiming Avoid rework and optimize maintenance.
