Resumen
This dissertation presented the transit and urban mobility of the last decades, especially in relation to the high rate of motorization in cities, death and sequelae rates, as well as costs for the country. There is an account of experiences of cities, in which urban planning has been envisioning other means of locomotion that not only the motorized and private vehicle. In all scenarios, however, there is a lack of education for traffic effectively. The research addressed the need to insert the practice of traffic education in basic education and presented the intermodal challenge as a case study. The intermodal challenge, which has been carried out for more than a decade in Curitiba by the Federal University of Paraná - UFPR, has been adjusted to be applied in municipal schools, allowing students and the school community to begin to understand the effects of mobility secure, conscious, shared and sustainable. The Three Pedagogical Moments, a methodology that underpinned the achievement of the challenge, gave rise to the choice of traffic and mobility as generating facts, enabling several disciplines to approach the theme in a transversal and interdisciplinary way. The initiative has interfaced with the fifth year curriculum of the Municipal Education Department of Curitiba. The challenges were realized in municipal schools by the Program CICLOVIDA, linked to the Federal University of Paraná-UFPR, by the Municipal Secretary of Education and Municipal Transit Secretariat of Curitiba, between 2105 and 2017. The Teaching-learning Methodology was elaborated by professionals the Municipal Secretariats of Education and Transit of Curitiba, the Federal Technological University of Paraná - UTFPR and UFPR. The data, presented in this research, were extracted by the components of the CICLOVIDA Program.
