Resumen
In this project, a galvanically isolated sensor was developed. Through a coil wound on a toroidal core, with a gap of two millimeters. A monitored current produces a field that excites a linear Hall-Effect sensor. At the output pin of this Hall-effect sensor, a voltage of 0 to 5V is obtained which reflects the monitored current. The Laws of Ampère and Faraday were analyzed, what allowed developing a project procedure of the magnetic element. A prototype for current monitoring up to 10A was elaborated. Practical results demonstrated the calculations accuracy.
