Resumen
The use of dynamic vibration absorbers is a very effective and inexpensive method for vibration control. Despite passive dynamic vibration absorbers show less advantages than other kind of absorbers, for example their narrow tune band, they still are elements worthy of study. In this study two systems are modelled, one system with a mass-spring absorber and the other with a damped mass-spring absorber. After the modelling was done, a lot of diferent absorbers were scaled out and their effects on the main systems were analized through values gotten by graphics made on MATLAB and equations with the objective of finding optimal values of project for these systems’s absorbers. The optimal values of mass ratio obtained were different between the projects of the absorbers. For the damped absorber, the best results were found for values of 0,1 ≤ μ ≤ 0,4, whereas for the undamped absorber these values were obtained for 0,2 ≤ μ.
