Resumen
This thesis consisted in a study of the obscene trilogy from the writer Hilda Hilst, it is composed by the books O caderno rosa de Lori Lamby (1990), Contos de escárnio: textos grotescos (1990) and Cartas de um sedutor (1991). Hilst is the author of a vast prose and verse literally work, she has announced at the age of 60 that was the time to “the saint lifts her skirt up”, expression which was used by her to symbolize her transition from her “well-behaved” literature to the “raunchy” literature, which aims according to herself, to be sold and consequently being known by the audience. However, a deep reading of Hilst’s literally works allow us to detect a subversive language project by the usage of canonical and marginal hybrid genres and an intentionality criticism which does not fit to the previous project announced by Hilst. Using the parody, irony, satire, scorn and the grotesque, Hilst developed a latent criticism in relation to the subservience of the literally aesthetic production to the editorial market, contradicting the supposed objectives of profit and visibility. Besides all above commented Hilst has had interacted with the most enshrined philosophical literature, demonstrating her concerns about existential questions. Some of the main theoretical sources used to develop the Hilst’s literally work analysis were found in Georges Bataille about the eroticism discussion, Mikhail Bakhtin about the grotesque nature, Sören Aabye Kierkegaard and Emil Michel Cioran about the existentialist thinking and Linda Hutcheon about modern parody.
