Abstract

The increasing contamination of soil and groundwater by hydrocarbons derived from oil (diesel oil), has been featured in recent decades and may affect not only the environment but also human health. In October 2013 the Environmental Consulting MILLER held at Company X studies and Environmental Research Confirmatory, seeking to identify possible contamination in the soil and / or groundwater as a result of activities undertaken at the site. At the time 04 monitoring wells were installed and collected 04 samples of soil and groundwater for chemical analysis of BTEX and PAH parameters. The concentrations of the analyzed parameters are presented below the reference values used. However, during the process of sampling groundwater, the PM-01 and PM-02 in their water wells had oil and some iridescence, respectively, but did not show until the end of the fieldwork, blades free product phase . In February 2014 a new confirmatory research, to evaluate the possible occurrence of blades free phase in monitoring wells installed in bygone stage of research, especially in the PM-01 and PM-02 wells was performed. This paper aims to present and analyze the monitoring studies that were done in the region.
