Resumen
The present article aims to analyse and speculate the relation between the political and the social history of the country with the power of songs during the military dictatorship period stablished in Brazil. Along with the military regime stablished in Brazil and the 21-year period that followed, several manifestations of repudiation happened through the songs festivals, that means, the brazilian popular music and where the manifestations got linked to political and cultural patterns, once the 64‟s coup brought uncountable changes, not only for the society but also to the politic introducing a reprisal and censorship mood. That way, in the fight against the censorship and the control forced that time, many popular artists, connected to music, became spokesperson of the stifled and repressed voices.
