Abstract

The present work was devoted to the study of the QFD method in the informational design phase. QFD is one of several techniques that support product development and assists in translating customer requirements into engineering requirements. The companies have sought to introduce the QFD method as a way to remain competitive, since the method prioritizes the needs that most satisfy the customers and the guarantee of product quality. Through published case studies, we have a better understanding of the method and how it is applied. The QFD method was applied in a company incubated in the development of a new product, the information necessary for the realization of the quality house came from brainstorming between company employees and market research conducted throughout product development.
