Abstract

This monograph presents a study on radio frequency identification - RFID. The study involves the history of RFID, basic concepts of radio frequency modulation, the components of the RFID system, such as antennas, labels and their types, readers and the patterning involved. It's also made an approach to protocol LLRP, an acronym for Low Level Reader Protocol, which is a protocol used within the architecture of an RFID system. In addition to technology, this monograph addresses the practical applications of a system of radio frequency identification. RFID is a technology created many years ago, but that currently is in evidence, because with the advancement of technology, many applications can be developed and used in many areas, such as industries, logistics, retail, security.
