Resumen
The propose of this paper was to specify the guidelines for the suitability of the analytical methodology of acyclovir cream, for the dosage analyses, ensuring through the experimental studies, that the method meets the established analytical parameters, thus securing the reliability of the results when reproduced. The methodology used in the suitability was advocated by the British Pharmacopoeia. The contents of Active Pharmaceuticals and Finished Product were tested. From this analysis were tested the parameters of selectivity, linearity, precision and accuracy. All the parameters were successfully analyzed and the method in question was suitable for dosing acyclovir in acyclovir dermatological cream 50 mg g-1 produced from the raw materials of the manufactures. The suitability of the method was proven, because it showed selective, separating adequately all secondary peaks formed in the applied stress. The acyclovir peak showed spectral homogeneity in the applied conditions and the methodology was linear and accurate between the range of 80 to 120 ug/ml (80 to 120% in relation to the working concentration of acyclovir) and accurate in the range of 100 ug/ml.
