Sobre a gestão financeira de escola pública: um estudo de caso

Abstract

This research presents the results of a case study about the financial management of a state school of Paraná educational system. The study was limited to the years 2013 and 2014. The argument presented was based on a survey of data through official documents of the school, as well as field survey of school administrator, students, teachers and other employees of the college. The main goal was to identify the problems found in the school environment were due to insufficient funds received by the school, especially those from public sources, whether it was due to the poor school administration, or even the junction of both conditions. The financial resources allocated by the state and federal governments to school as well as the calculation of lending values to public schools were also presented to support discussions on public financing of education, understood here as a right for everyone.
