Resumen
The research area is the old garbage dump of rolândia city. The study site was the final destination of the public collection of solid waste before its deactivation in april 2002. The wastes were deposited directly to the ground exposing the waste mass to seasonal climate variations. These studies demonstrated santos (2003) that the water table of the aquifer site follows the ground surface. This conformation shows that the recharge area of the aquifer is located in the uppermost parts of the land and the area of discharge into recessed areas. The monitoring of the water level fluctuation the three monitoring wells correlated with precipitation daily rate total period of 350 days of study showed that the response fluctuations in groundwater level behaved relatively fast. Like this, the groundwater aquifer receives in general distributed during all periods of the year, implying in a greater water infiltration through the mass of solid waste and favoring the migration of contaminants by the saturated and unsaturated zones. The hydraulic conductivity (k) the saturated zone obtained average value 8,35x10-3cm/s, representing a moderately high hydraulic conductivit. Already the hydraulic conductivity (k) the unsaturated zones obtained value like 1,93 x 10-4cm/s, meaning a layer of soil with characteristics somewhat permeable material. In this sense, from darcy's law were calculated the speeds of groundwater flow. Thus, contaminants generated by decomposition of deposited materials the old dump it would take a total of 16 days about to achieve the red creek downstream, the same mountain slope. The hydrocheamical analysis from the elements showed anomalies present in monitoring wells and another collection points. Thus, the contaminant plume released by the decomposition of solid waste grounded, affects the quality of the groundwater downstream of the former landfill Rolândia and the water surface.
