dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the development of a didactic platform of Software Defined Radio in MATLAB for undergraduate students. This platform is composed of a phase-quadrature transmitter, with block coding algorithms and capable of modulating messages in 2, 4, 8 PSK and 16 QAM. A synchronous receiver has also being implemented and it recovers the carrier phase and sampling times, through Costas Loop and Decision Directed algorithm, respectively. Furthermore, the receiver is capable of decoding messages by different methods, either by soft or hard decision. The results of this project show a platform that is functional for all modulations and decoding algorithms implemented and for different transmission parameters defined by users.
