Abstract

This undergraduate thesis aims to present knowledge and justifications for the preparation of an architectural project of a new Community Sports Center, in the city of Curitiba. At first, concepts about sports and similar studies of projects in Brazil and abroad were understood. Then, it aimed to analyze the city in order to check the lack of quality sports equipments in a neighborhood with a high crime rate, large young population and low purchasing power. In regard to relevant sports equipments, a land was defined in the Vila Nossa Senhora da Luz, in the neighborhood of Cidade Industrial de Curitiba. Finally it was possible to make guidelines and concepts to be achieved in the next stage of project implementation and development.
