Resumen
The generation of electricity can occur in several ways, here solar energy is discussed as a source of voltage and electric current, mainly because it does not degrade the environment, being part of the group of renewable energies. The type of connection of several photovoltaic cells depends on the specifics of use of the electricity generated, essentially the voltage and current. The connection types can be in series, parallel or a mixture of these two types. To this end, a didactic sequence was designed focused on teaching physics to students in the third year of high school in public schools, in two different realities, in regular education and in rural education in the same municipality. The didactic sequence is concerned with showing the basic theoretical contents, the same experimental tests for the best understanding of contents. The main results were the use of photovoltaic cells in teaching and the understanding of the contents of electromagnetism by the students. Serial and parallel batteries / cells experiments were also done.
