Estudo de caso comparativo entre os métodos de dimensionamento de condutores elétricos propostos pelas normas NBR 5410 e NBR 15920 em circuitos das instalações da UTFPR, câmpus Curitiba

Abstract

This essay has the propose of make a comparative case between two methods of sizing conductors in the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, campus Curitiba. The technical method uses cables with smaller sections, decreasing their initial costs, while the economic method uses bigger sections, with lower electrical resistance, that guarantee reductions in the cables, due to Joule effect. To analyze the behavior of the facility, it was used a energy meter equipment, that working with its software, drawn the electrical demand curve in a certain period of time. With the economic parameters, it was possible to check which method was more interesting in this case.
