Resumen
The manifestations of science and art have always been present in our society, establishing, at some points, a stronger connection, since both scientists and artists search for harmony. Due to researches and personal interest, the central topic of this study is the Physics and music communication, which has been explored mainly through the acoustic teaching. Taking into consideration basic wave phenomena, acoustic, and music knowledge, this research aimed to explore some possibilities of Physics and music interplay, via actions that could support these fields of knowledge. By means of a practical and theoretical workshop with this thematic, participants of a university choir were exposed to basic knowledge of Physics and music connections. With the application of pre and post instruments at the workshop, it was possible to check the participant’s awareness of these connections, mainly, when it came to sound production and acoustic history. It was observed in the participants, a different perspective about these concepts. Therefore, it was noticed that the topics discussed come to the interest of the participants and its approach is an alternative to explore the concepts that are involved in the Physics and music interplay.
