Qualidade microbiológica da água dos bebedouros para consumo em escolas municipais de Missal - Paraná

Abstract

Water is essential for humans, but if for poor quality, it can present health risks since the main agents responsible for water data transmission are microorganisms called coliforms, a group of easily found bacteria In materials contaminated with Stool. Tests to assess the microbiological quality of water are indispensable elements for assessing the presence of contaminants. Therefore, this work aimed to analyze a microbiological quality of drinking water for human consumption in five schools in the municipality of Missal-PR. As collections were carried out in the months of April and May 2017. The determination of heterotrophic bacteria was performed through the technique for the plaque. The identification of total and thermotolerant coliforms was performed by the tubes technique and a confirmation of Escherichia coli occurred by means of streaks in petri dishes containing Methyl Blue Eosin (EMB) culture medium. The results indicated Total and Thermotolerant Coliforms for schools 03, 04 and 05 in the first school and schools A, B, C and E in the second collection. There were negative results for Total and Thermotolerant Coliforms as schools A and B in the first collection and for a second collection the school 04. The presence of E. coli in schools C and E was verified for a first collection, and for the Schools A, B, C and E, in the second collection. The results showed heterotrophic mesophilic bacteria with a value higher than 500 CFU / mL, in school C for the first collection, and in schools A, B, C, D and E for a second collection. In this way, it can be affirmed with a water from the drinking fountains of the municipal schools of Missal - PR, do not meet the ordinance 2914/2011 and do not conform to the potable water standards. (Chlorine), to eliminate bacteria and pathogenic microorganisms in the wells located in the rural area of the municipality, as well as, a constant hygiene of the water reservoirs and filters of the drinkers.
